Why the fuck are we sending money to these genocidal monsters again?
Can you please think of the shareholders of corporations that make missiles and weapons? 😠
Can't they be satisfied with Ukraine?
"Satisfied"
What's that? Can I use it to make more money? 🤔
The Israel lobby.
Or as I like to call them, "The Hobby Lobby Lobby".
That is anti-semitism. You must want the destruction of Israel.

I think you may have dropped this.
I thought it was obvious.
I don't think that any government funds anything for ideological reasons. It's always about influence and power.
I'm surprised almost no one here acknowledges that the US is supporting Israel because Israel is the US's base of power in the Middle East. Of course the US government will support Israel. To do otherwise would be to weaken the US's influence and military supremacy in the region. That is all that matters to the government.
Don't get me wrong, I not saying that it's good, I just answering the question.
International politics is complicated. Sometimes allies do things you don't like.
Normal reaction is to not support someone when they do something you don't like.
Sure - but that reaction will get you screwed in politics. You'll never get anything you want because nobody will 100% do everything you want. And if you don't support others then they won't support you.
There seems to be a lot of young idealistic liberals on Lemmy who think they should just be getting their way on everything no compromise needed. You know - the "I'm not voting for Biden because he did X thing which Trump would certainly do worse" crowd.
I don't think it would be too much to ask or too difficult a question to ask not to use US aid against civilians.
Downpunxx will be here any minute to let us know that the Hamas was stockpiling weapons under the UN headquarters, using them as human shields, and the UN workers in that building were complicit and happy to let them do so.
I blocked them a bit ago. Lemmy and kbin are much nicer places without them. Can't believe they haven't been banned yet.
I'll eventually do the same, but I have to admit that I find witnessing their trolling to be more entertaining than blocking them for now.
I'm not sure they've done anything bannable. They have horrible opinions that I strongly disagree with, but I don't remember seeing anything worse than that.
I've seen them cast some fairly vile aspirations on anyone disagreeing with their pro-Israel stances. I don't know what gets people banned from where but the astro-turfing of nearly the same post in every vaguely-political thread should qualify.
I don't think he should be banned, but yeah blocking him is the way to go.
That's what the feature is there for.
I didn't see in the article which terrorist faction was responsible.
Was it the IDF or Hamas? Anyway screw them both.
Genocidal maniacs have no place in society.
