after getting a newer car I had the issue that my old after market radio with android auto didnt Integrate that nice with my new car (it looked quite out of place sadly) I was forced with the choice of living with it or putting the default Radio back in (ford focus mk3 pre face lift non Sony and non sync).

But now I had the issue of not having android auto. For a while I tried head unit reloaded but never was that happy with it.

After some Research I found an app called autozen.

In my humble opinion it offers all what I wanted from AA. It Shows me the current map and Route (via mapbox so basicly open maps) an yt music (among others) control.

So if you have the same first World Problem as me you should give it a try.

Edit: Edited the title

Forgive me, as I'm a bit stupid. This is just a skin for your phone that pops up on your phone screen when you drive? How is this any different than just using the "car mode" version of apps when driving? When I'm using Google Maps or Spotify while driving, my phone already automatically knows I'm in the car. I don't have an Android Auto compatible car, my phone simply connects to media via bluetooth.

The main benefit is that this allows using the phone in landscape Mode while maps car Mode for what ever reason still only works in the default orientstion.

This also Shows the current speed which is something maps doesnt do everswhere.

There is also a option that looks like the new android auto ui.
