This guy scams scammers and had a set of episodes where he was 'being scammed' by an Indian guy pretending to be Biden. Hilarious to watch.

He recently did one about how he and his team set up a fake bitcoin site that would direct scammers to a fake support hotline when they try to withdraw the fake bitcoin, where they'd get stuck running in circles in a voice mail menu maze chasing the illusory bitcoin payout.

I Trapped 200 Scammers in an Impossible Maze

As one commenter put it, "I love how Kit has evolved over the years to find out the best way of making scammers go crazy is to treat them basically the same way Comcast treats their customers."

I know plenty of people dumb enough to take this as proof. I worked with a young guy a few years back who was standing idly by while I discussed PCs and malware with another co-worker. Idle guy joins the conversation to tell us how just recently he avoided some malware himself after receiving a popup from Microsoft saying his PC was infected. The popup included a number on the screen, which he called.

Relieved to have Microsoft looking out for him, buddy calls the number and follows instructions to give the person on the other end remote access. After which, the malware is allegedly removed, and he's ordered to fork over $100 USD for the services rendered. Still relieved just to have Microsoft looking out for him like this, he forks over his fucking credit card information to pay for work. He finished the story with this very serious nod. A nod that said I really dodged a bullet there.

Poor blessed soul.

I bet you won an iPad, you gotta send the $99 for the shipping and handling and it's all yours...

And it has to be in the form of gift cards. No cash or check.

I don't think it's real. The picture looks AI made. Look into his eyes: He doesn't have a soul

[-] WhatsHerBucket@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Political leaders with no soul, you say? Who knew?

Nah it's fake, that guy couldn't have written a sentence so coherent

There's a picture right there as proof!

You go girl

That's not enough proof. You have to ask him if he'd stop an in progress genocide and if he says no, you're good.
