submitted 1 year ago by ynj1000 to c/askmalaysians

Hello! I am visiting Malaysia soon and I have ringgit with me, however, I noticed that some of them had small tears especially RM50 ones. Is it possible if I can exchange them in a bank? I am a foreigner visiting and don't have a local bank account. Hope you can help me and thanks for answering!

It can be done, I don’t think a local bank account is needed. In fact ppl often exchange bank notes for new ones before festive seasons.

Is the note number intact? If yes then the bank will change them for you.
