The US has always eventually abandoned its proxies once they ceased to be useful. Why the Nazi clowns in Kiev thought they were the exception i will never understand.

I guess people who have a modicum of historical knowledge wouldn't let themselves be turned into proxies in the first place. It's kind of the same mechanic as a scam email being intentionally poorly worded to attract the dumbest people possible.

It's even more baffling considering they did it to Georgia in nearly exact same scenario in 2008 and even (to the lesser extent) to Ukraine itself after 2004.
