Can't wait for the mod tools. The dnd community will go nuts and they won't need an expansion people will just start making full campaigns of thier own
I'd love to see more races and classes. Artificers, Tortles, Warforged, Tabaxi, etc. There's a bunch of missing subclasses too, like Storm Barbarian or Swashbuckler Rogue.
Maybe mod tools would allow that, but at the same time I'm not convinced. It just seems like easy territory for an expansion, sort of like Tasha's or Eberron... but for the video game.
Mods for additional classes, subclasses and spells already existed for Early Access and some have already been made to work with the full release.
But better mod tools would be great for sure and make things even better, not least for people who want to create custom quests or campaigns.
Oh wow, have you tried any of them out? Do they work well?
No idea, sorry, I didn't play Early Access. I'm still waiting for some to get updated for the build I want to play to work (Shadow Blade user twinning Booming Blade cantrips).
I might just tough I out and play vanilla for the first playthrough, anyway.
There's so much content though, on the map. Eventually yes, but i don't think the game needs it this year.
I wanna be Jorhnathan from the movie. Or a kengu.
How would you do the wish spell? Outside of maybe forcing it to a plot item
They had wish in Baldur's Gate 2 at least I'm pretty sure. My memory is pretty vague but I think you could ask for a certain set of things and it would usually not end up how you wanted.
Wish was indeed implemented in BG2. You needed high WIS to get the choices that actually gave you what you wanted, with low WIS you got the poorly phrased dialogue options that were traps.
Limited Wish had two categories of wishes, repeatable ones and one-time wishes. Repeatable ones were mostly straightforward, but the one-time wishes had some sort of twist to them even with high WIS, such as wishing to be more experienced summoning hostile high level golems (that do, in fairness, award a lot off XP when killed).
Nice, I think the time I tried it my characters wisdom was trash because I just remember getting like a hundred chickens spawn into the map.
I like their approach. It's upfront and honest. I'm already happy with a game where I can spend up to 300 hours.
Oh, I think you fellas may have to indulge yourselves on this one.
