Patatje oorlog + kikastick. "Patatje oorlog" literally means "fries war" but it's just fries with mayonnaise and peanut sauce. The 'kika' is short for kip-kalkoen (chicken-turkey) and it's just meat chunks on a stick with onion slices in between and a crispy jacket. Thanks for the question, now I'm hungry.

I love spending holidays in the Netherlands - and the lekker fast food is one of the reasons. Fries with Satésaus and I'm happy!

A&W Teen Burger with root beer and onion rings. There's something nostalgic about it for me, used to go out for them with my dad when I was a kid.

Also will always have a soft spot for a Big Mac combo at McDonald's. It isn't good but damn if isn't satisfying.

Triple Whopper from Burger King

Three impossible sliders with cheese, onion chips, mozzarella sticks, and if I'm really ~~stoned~~ hungry, a cheesecake on a stick.

[-] Akasazh@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

What are impossible sliders?

Sliders are White Castle burgers, kinda like Krystal if you have those, they're small and square. Impossible is a brand of vegetarian meat substitute, Burger King has an Impossible Whopper that's pretty good too.

I'll try to make this a little more fun. Try to guess the restaurant based on the order. Got it? Alright, let's go!

Double quarter pounder with cheese and a large fry. Sometimes I'll get two cheeseburgers instead of the DQP. Usually also get an apple pie or two.

Meat and potato burrito and a large potato ole.

Double butter burger with cheese and the works and a regular fry. Usually get a turtle sundae as well.

Mushroom and swiss burger and a large curly fry.

Mushroom and swiss burger and a large curly fry.

I don't know where this is but I really want to; it's hard to find a decent mushroom swiss burger around here that doesn't cost $18.

Hardee's. It's pretty good; if you ever get a chance, try it. Hardee's goes by a different name in different parts of the US. I'm not sure but the name Carl's Jr comes to mind.

Pretty the first one is McDonald's, but don't know about the ones. So I'll just guess on places I don't really go to. Taco Mayo? Five Guys? Dairy Queen?

Second one is probably Taco John's.

Third I'm pretty sure is Culver's.

No clue on the fourth. But you're clearly a Midwesterner. I'm not originally from here and I have controversial opinions on Taco John's.

  1. McDonalds
  2. Taco Johns
  3. Culvers?
  4. Hardees? (least sure on this one)
[-] double_oh_walter@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Why, oh why is it not called half pounder?

[-] cccc@aussie.zone 3 points 1 year ago

I love a double quarter pounder but I’ve boycott Maccas*. Double cheeseburger from Hungry Jacks^ does the job though.

  • McDonald’s ^ Burger King for Australians

Spicy chicken sandwich. It's the only thing on the menu as far as I'm concerned. Except at McDonald's, theirs is prodigiously mid.

[-] darkmatterstyx@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Wendy's used to be the best. But they've raised the price and cut the size in pretty much half. Not worth it anymore. The Members Mark frozen spicy chicken filets at Sam's Club are a great replacement in the air fryer.

I used to go often, but one time I went with my younger brother and I ended up paying almost $30 for the both of us and at that point I would rather go to a nicer local restaurant if imma pay $15/person

Lahmacun with kebab meat, no onion, no extra sauce, with ground chili.

[-] cali@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

A spicy chipotle chicken burrito, chips & guac, and an horchata at El Pollo Loco. Hits the spot every time

i notice plenty of redditers routinely slam subway, but there's two orders i regularly get that i find delicious, nutritious, low-cal, and reasonably-priced--

first is a six inch italian herb roll with ham, turkey, all veggies, and chipotle dressing on the side for six bucks. i bring it home, toast it two mins a side in my air fryer, then sprinkle on red pepper flakes and add the dressing.

second is a salad with bbq chicken on top for about 9 bucks. i bring it home, hit it with some ghost pepper dressing and some grated parm. perfect.

not totally sure, but i get the sense that people typically compare subway to deli-style sandwiches, and that's just not their strength, especially for meat and cheese eaters. subway is really more like vegetarian-style food with a little 'cheat meat' on top, and you can pretty much have them add unlimited veggies if you want for no extra charge.

Double roast beef combo with curly fries and a diet Dr Pepper. I love Arby's.

[-] xffxe4@lemmy.one 1 points 1 year ago

I like subway, but every time I go I’m disappointed I end up spending like $18 when they beat it into my head as a kid it was supposed to be $5.

[-] schmalls@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

foot long, Italian herbs and cheese, spicy Italian, pepper jack, double toasted; lots of onion, bell pepper, jalapenos, ranch, oregano.

[-] supermurs@suppo.fi 2 points 1 year ago

Italian BMT from Subway is my go-to sandwich.

[-] duckgoesquakk@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Flying Dutchman on top of animal fries is my In-N-Out combo; I like to top the animal fries with the double patty and cheese and make french fry nachos.

[-] niucllos@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Cajun chicken filet biscuit with sweet tea and seasoned fries, or barbecue chicken sandwich with hushpuppies, fries, and a sweet tea, depending on which regional chain I've stopped at

[-] limeaide@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

When I go to Waffle House, I start off with a pecan waffle then move onto a cheese steak hash brown bowl with double cheese steak and no onions.

From taco bell I always get two cheesy bean and rice burritos, supreme soft taco, and a another random burrito or something that looks good. I also always get the box combo with the cheese fries
