It works for me in the Android app, I do get the greyish theme when I disable "Pure Black Dark Mode" in the settings.
And then it is me who has pure dark mode system wide in my Android phone ๐

no, i thought you meant turning off the pure dark mode to get light mode. i think you're right, it doesn't work for me too
