What's a tortuguita?
A forest defender/activist with the stop cop city movement. They were slaughtered by police. They were shot a dozen times with their hands up.
Georgia state troopers lied and claimed that Tortugita had fired on the cops, but a bodycam video has a cop say that he thinks it was friendly fire, and an independent autopsy saw no indication of them having fired a gun.
