I don't know what it is about Russia being a bit more developed and having a capitalist government which has shifted a bit towards nationalization of resources since the collapse of the USSR that makes people think "imperialist predation on this country demands neutrality" whereas the same issue is obvious to them in Africa. Except when it's Ethiopia... man all it takes is Radio War Nerd to be like "fuck these guys" 😩😫😩😩😫 and they have an army of these chumps out of nowhere

Yeah this is definitely a reactionary imperialist rag, but I don’t think we have to say stuff like this is good to practice revolutionary defeatism. It might seem pointless to say stuff like this is bad, then, but believe it or not there are ways solidarity benefits people internationally that aren’t as justifications for violent imperialism

Because Russia is a powerful country aligned against US interest, of which the US is to blame for the majority of the continued existence of homophobia and reactionary values across the entire planet.

Low effort material: Avoid memes/jokes/shitposts in newscomm posts and top-level replies to the newsmega. This kind of content is OK in post replies and in newsmega sub-threads. We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.
American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.
Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.
AI Slop: Don't post AI generated content. Posts about AI race/chip wars/data centers are fine.
