Fu fu when I am not that hungry. Hasafashasa when hungry.

[-] OtakuAltair@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Fhu-fhu always. I am a coward.

[-] red@feddit.de 7 points 1 year ago

This. But I'm also impatient, so I'll still be going to hashafashfas too, anyway.

[-] Decoy321@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Thanks, OP. You made me think I had a stroke.

An honest question to the freedom people, how popular are momos in America?

[-] dutchkimble@lemy.lol 6 points 1 year ago

They're not called momos in most countries, but some form of dimsum is consumed everywhere

[-] spez@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

now I really wanna eat some, goddamit!

[-] irish_link@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I know this is meme but it looks delicious. What the heck is this and how do I make it/find it?

[-] EthicalDogMeat@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Nepalese momo. It should be available in any Nepalese restaurant since it's a staple dish in the country

[-] Nacktmull@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

How do you know for sure they are not Tibetan momos?

[-] xbhaktapur@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Because the plate and the jhol (liquid chutney/condiment) is a dead giveaway.

Source: I am a Nepali.

[-] spez@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Could be Indian too.

Source : I am a momo loving Indian.

Also, here momos are expensive as fuck compared to Nepal. Nepalese momos are slightly better too, especially the fried momos.

[-] xbhaktapur@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I have a simple question for you. Why do you have momo with mayonnaise? That's blasphemous.

[-] spez@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Ay come on! It's pretty good you should try it out sometime.

[-] Nacktmull@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Interesting! Now please tell me your mom´s jhol recipe 🙏

[-] radioactiveradio@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I thought they was Chinese momos?

[-] radioactiveradio@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Cold chutney does the trick usually, no fhu-fhu hsahfhashas needed.

[-] Devjavu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

You made a typo its hasafashafsas

[-] VikingHippie@lemmy.wtf 3 points 1 year ago

...what does any of that mean?

I'm aware of the concepts of heat and food, but other than that, I have no idea what's going on 😂

[-] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 1 year ago

Fhu-fhu = blowing on the food before putting in your mouth

The other "word" is the sound you make when you put too hot food in your mouth

[-] VikingHippie@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 year ago

Oh! Now I get it! Thanks 😊

[-] NewAgeOldPerson@reddthat.com 3 points 1 year ago

Thanks OP. I wasn't hungry enough. Ugh I need some achar and momo plate!

[-] Nacktmull@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Damn I love momos! So I will fhu-fhu AND hsahfhashas at the same time!
