It's funny, when I was growing up in the 80s, scooters were the child's toy between the real vehicles of skateboards and bikes. That's why Marty McFly breaks the handle off both the scooter in 1955 and in 2015 to turn them into skateboards. Skateboards were cool and scooters weren't. Now we have extreme off-road e-scooters.

I'm not complaining. I always liked scooters. I had a scooter with a foot pedal on the back that you would pump to pick up speed. It was awesome.

If you were to have advised that in my mid-40's I'd be commuting on an electric scooter I'd have laughed long and hard, but here we are. Cities should be moving to expand infrastructure and embrace the tech, but I'm not sure how things will shake out moving forward. Statistically, it seems the number of riders in my area of town are growing exponentially year-on-year.

Exciting times.=)

That's an interesting design. I'm not convinced it would be good off road but for bad pavement that looks sick.

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
