They shouldnt vote for him. If this was the most important election our lifetimes, like they keep claiming, the DNC should have put money and effort into finding someone to primary the guy that was no ones preferred candidate.
He's my preferred candidate this time around. I'm someone.
I don't approve of the support of Israel, but he has been a solid, reliable president who knows what he's doing. And he has made a lot more accomplishments than people even realize.
The CHIPS (etc) Act was enough to justify his presidency by itself, IMO. It was insane that such a huge percentage of the world's semiconductor research and production were concentrated in one country, especially a small one that China has been eyeing like a feral cat for years.
This will be exactly like Fox Conn manufacturing for Apple in the US.
That's very fair - but no one should feel obligated to vote for the party pick in a party primary.
the DNC should have put money and effort into finding someone to primary the guy that was no ones preferred candidate.
But that's not their style; in 2016 and '20 they primaried the guy who was almost everyone's preferred candidate.
Thereby opposing the interests of her party and her country in order to stop Israel before they can defeat Hamas. Trump would be far less sympathetic to her plight.
It's meaningless if no one votes for Biden in the primary. It's just for the nomination.
It's the general where it matters. If she keeps it up after the primaries, then you'll have a point.
Before they can ~~defeat Hamas~~ wipe out Gaza.
Thank you for correcting that. It's wild seeing people are still out here pretending Israel has anything but genocidal intentions.
How is Trump going to win the primary?
This is the kind of bullshit establishment bootlicking that I can't stand.
If Biden is our candidate I'll vote for him in the general - but I've voted differently in my primary.
In this thread: People mad because progressives are doing what we're told to do, which is vote for who we want in the primary and then get in line behind the person we don't want.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
The video of Tlaib was posted to the X account of “Listen to Michigan,” a group urging voters to vote “uncommitted” in the primary.
Tlaib, who is Palestinian American, cited her dissatisfaction with the Biden administration's role in the war between Israel and Hamas as her reason for urging people to vote.
Biden won Michigan in the 2020 presidential election by just 3 percentage points, and the state will likely again be crucial for his potential path to victory in November.
Earlier this month, White House officials visited the state to meet with Muslim and Arab American leaders.
Biden himself also visited the state earlier in February, but the purpose of his trip was to meet with autoworkers on the heels of an endorsement from the United Auto Workers union.
On Wednesday, Our Revolution, a progressive political organization founded by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., also urged Michigan Democrats to vote “uncommitted” in the primary.
