I like the bot, but the tldrs it makes are too long.

[-] pretzelise@mlem.me 88 points 2 years ago

we need a bot that summarises the tldr bot

[-] einsteinx2@programming.dev 59 points 2 years ago

AutoTL;DRTL;DR

[-] Zoldyck@discuss.online 15 points 2 years ago

Unironically: yes

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

People are a problem.

[-] starman@programming.dev 49 points 2 years ago

I actually like the length of this bot's comments

[-] Black_Gulaman@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 years ago

Mine too, it's just long enough to include all the important things without me thinking that I need to click the link in order to make sure that the summary got all the important things.

[-] worfamerryman@beehaw.org 15 points 2 years ago

It’s still better than clicking into the website.

I would love a bit that just copies the text out of the website so I can read it here.

No need to load an entire website just for some text.

No need to load an entire website just for some text.

Says a lot about the current state of the web really. It's so bogged down with extra junk like ads and tracking, that I'd rather skip visiting most websites as a whole.

Really appreciate the bot giving us the content with no extra faff 💪

[-] worfamerryman@beehaw.org 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah, websites are too heavy. Not that my computer can’t handle it, but I’m literally only going to look at the text so why make me wait extra to load all these graphics and images.

[-] lemann@lemmy.one 9 points 2 years ago

I like the long TLDRs because I don't have to visit the website... 😅 nervous laugh

Here's the best summary I could come up with for this meme: "The"

[-] Macaroni_ninja@lemmy.world 37 points 2 years ago

Also the alternative video link for piped, every single time

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

And if you click the link, the video never actually plays.

A specific server for piped is broken. Other servers still work. It is a federated service like lemmy.

[-] jungekatz@hexbear.net 36 points 2 years ago

The bot is actually helpful in few ways tho

[-] DefyTheLegends@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago

Be the change you want to see. Post your thoughts so someone else isn't in your position.

[-] Wogi@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

But over a decade of untreated crippling social media addiction have removed every original thought I could have.

I can only have a thought when I'm arguing with someone else who's clearly wrong. Therefore, they must post first.

Do we still need this----> "/s" or is it obvious?

[-] SamboT@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago

Please no. I don't comment to entertain. If nobody has anything to say because they don't know anything about the topic I will take zero comments every time.

[-] Strawberry@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 years ago

I have a different opinion about this topic!

Lemmy, June 2023 : "thankfully we don't have AutoModerator here"

Be the early comment. Share what you think!

[-] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 years ago

Hey, bud. You do know that sincerity costs extra, right?
