The day Apollo reached its end of life was the last day I used Reddit. Been on Lemmy since and it’s been great. Thanks for all the great memories.
Same
I’m using Voyager now too which is… heavily inspired by Apollo
Honestly there are a few lemmy apps heavily inspired by Apollo.
Apollo was revolutionary in how to interface with a Reddit style site. It worked as smoothly and effectively as one would’ve hoped the official app would. It’s no wonder so many apps followed in its footsteps
Hey! Just wanted to say I loved your app and it was one of the few mobile apps I actually paid for premium!
I was also only on Reddit until Apollo had to shut down. It’s a damn shame, especially now that we find out Reddit’s “profitability concerns caused by 3rd party API usage” were BS and the real cause is “they paid the CEO nearly $200 million last year”.
I really hope WallStreetBets utterly murders their IPO.
Thanks for what you did Christian. Sucks You can’t convert your premium into something useful.
I heard you could trade it for the chance to spend money… sounds hinky to me, but then again the stock market always has ;-)

Oh dip, the legend himself!!
This is one of the first Mastodon crossposts I’ve seen! So cool, also thanks dev for sparking competition in the 3rd party app space, Reddit literally changed for the better with your app.
