Sounds like this Canadien policy might just be working as intended.

Kinda depends on how you are measuring it.

It sounds like you are just going by elected presidents, but quite a few were multiple-term presidents, and those presidents had multiple elections with different opponents.

And sometimes, a losing opponent would go on to win a later election.

Also, no one ran against George Washington, twice.

Out of 59 elections (if you include Washington), I think there have been 49 white guys and one white lady who have lost a US Presidential election at least once (and may or may not have gone on to be President in a later election).

I am exactly as fun at parties as you would imagine.

This isn’t a big deal.

If you’re developing in Xcode, you did not buy an 8GB Mac in the last 10-years.

If you are just using your Mac for Facebook and email, I don’t think you know what RAM is.

If you know what RAM is, and you bought an 8GB Mac in the last 10-years, then you are likely self-aware of your limited demands and/or made an informed compromise.

There’s something about the guy just fucking up a perfectly peaceful and serene moment of nature with a dumb-fuck grin and selfie cam, that perfectly encapsulates jet ski riders.

This reminds me of that Chinese law about being personally responsible for all medical debts of a person you run over—incentivizing killing the person, rather than injuring them.

I agree with the graphic.

However, I recently completed a straight watch-thru of every Simpsons episode, and while watching the lackluster episodes from seasons ~20-~30, I have to acknowledge one thing:

Quality of the show and its writing have noticeably improved since around Season 32.

The most recent episodes feel more centered on the family and much less on bizarre cameos and really outrageous situations. It actually feels like a show about the Simpson family and treats the characters more age-appropriately.

I don’t like that they lost/recast established voices of minority characters (Apu, Carl, Dr. Hibbert, etc), I do think the quality and the focus of the show is much better than it has been in almost 2-decades.

Oh yeah, isn’t there an Adderall shortage right now?

The dude probably just isn’t cranked up on his normal level of amphetamines.

I bet he keeps falling asleep, gets even fatter, and is even less capable of following his own thoughts as the Adderall drought continues.

What a great time for him to be on criminal trial…

Since the Jedi had fucked up “codes” to live by, I never would have expected them to rescue the mom.

Queen Amidala, however…

How fucked up is it that she was taken in by Anakin’s mother, who (as a god damn slave) fed her, gave her a place to stay, allowed her son to risk his life in a pod race, and ultimately gave her only son up willingly to go with her and the two Jedi, not really knowing what would happen but just trusting he’d be safe—but then, that same kid who gets attacked on the way to the ship just leaving Tattooine, ends up flying a fighter craft and destroying the droid control ship which saves Amidala’s entire planet and people. The fact the kid survived any of that is a miracle, but he clearly misses his mother. A fact Amidala was blatantly aware of.

The fact that Amidala, who had nearly infinite resources at her disposal, owed her life and every life she was responsible for in Naboo to Anakin, and was clearly aware of pretty much the only thing Anakin wanted in the entire universe—his god damn mother—and yet Amidala didn’t do jack fucking shit to drop a few coins on Watto and free Shmi.

I never would have expected the Jedi to free her, but Amidala? What a fucking piece of work…

His most damning action leading to Covid deaths happened about 18-months before the virus really hit.

I have an antique desk which has three locks and a single key.

My key continues to work for one of the locks, but when inserted into the other two lock key ways, the key will not turn in either direction (will basically wiggle a millimeter or so in either direction, but does not start to actually turn).

I am a very amateurish lock picker—I can rake a basic lock or use a snap gun, but this lever/mortise lock is very different from anything I have tried to pick before.

I should mention that I used the working lock to confirm that the key fully inserts into the other two locks before attempting to turn the key.

I’ve tried looking up tools for picking this lock and watched some YouTube videos.

I am curious if anyone with experience picking this sort of lock might offer some advice on tools to get or improvise.

I’m including a photo of the key to help identify what might be needed.

Any advice is appreciated.
