The rumor behind this plane is that Turkey never intended to buy the F35 due to cost and arms restrictions, so a lot of the technology was adapted from the F35 since they were a former part producer lol.

Looks weird from the bottom, very wide. I guess they needed that for the weapons bays?

Doesn't seem to be a flattering angle. front view doesn't seem as bad (but still wide).
Compared to the F35 from a bad angle.

But the twin-engine design on both sides of the pilot (unlike a J20) will probably just make for a wider body as well.

What do you mean twin engine on both sides of the pilot? I can't see why the engines couldn't be closer together unless they are putting their payload bay back there.

The Chinese J-20, American F-22, and Turkish KAAN (air superiority fighters)

The Russian Su-57, Chinese FC-31, and American F-35 (more focused on CAS)

India? The EU? Japan? Iran? It's becoming increasingly clear who the world leaders in defence are, and the EU should be terrified.

Su57 is the only one that boarders the EU, and it's pretty much as terrible as you can get for a fifth gen. Plus there are only like a dozen of them in existence. But the EU also has f35 which does okay at air superiority just as long as your engagement range is long enough.
