I don't get it.
Why should he die from a heart attack?
Pure Diacethylmorphine (as explicitly stated) is not damaging to the body (like really toxic) - addictive of course and does stuff with your psych over time, but it's not like you get a heart attack because of

In case of an overdose suffocation would be the more probable thing
But as with all things, that's depending on dosage

Probably laced with Fentanyl.

Not in 2007!

I hate that you got downvoted. For anyone reading this in the US, they're dosing everything with fentanyl now. Even weed.

If you actually have the ability, and I know this is bleak enough advice to be hilarious, don't buy drugs.

[-] sxan@midwest.social 14 points 8 months ago

You're solving the wrong problem. Legalize all drugs, and you get better quality control, lower prices, and almost completely eliminate the cutting issue.

No vendor cuts alcohol with fentanyl. In states where marijuana is legal, the pot you buy in dispensaries will not be cut with fentanyl. That pack of Camels you get at the store will never be cut with fentanyl.

People who are going to do drugs are going to get them however they can; making them illegal only creates a black market and problems like you describe. Just saying "don't do drugs" doesn't work, like Nancy Reagan found out.

[-] flicker@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

I agree entirely that we should just legalize it but my efforts haven't changed that it's illegal just yet so if the reader has the luxury to abstain while we continue to work on the correct answer, I implore them to do so. And if not it's the usual advice about being careful, know your supplier, all that jazz.

Which is the difference between "don't do drugs" and what I said.

Gonna need to see some evidence for that claim

Not only does "fentanyl laced weed" make no sense on the face if it, a quick google search got me this easy info to back that up: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/fentanyl-laced-marijuana

I live in Tennessee. Will an article from a town in Tennessee (don't want to dox myself entirely) do?

Here ya go. I know two people who died to it. It's the dumbest fucking thing. If we had legal weed, this wouldn't be happening.

Will an article from a town in Tennessee [...] do?

Alone? No.

I know two people who died to it.

My uncle is the president of illegal drugs and he says that you can only get fentanyl from a japan-only special-edition foil marijoowana

Cool, tell him to hook me up. I'm not gonna smoke it obvs big I feel like I'm missing out on a collectible card situation.

[-] flicker@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

I'm gonna add here in a different comment I know of two people (adults goddammit, who shouldn't have to be buying their fucking weed illegally) who died to fentanyl laced weed.

And like you said, it makes no sense to put it in weed of all things but I have no explanation. I'm just telling you what I know.

[-] Rediphile@lemmy.ca 1 points 8 months ago

Still wouldn't be a heart attack.

[-] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee 4 points 8 months ago

Perhaps the son didn't know his dad took heroin and just started losing his shit? Pretty common reaction when someone unexpectedly ODs around you

[-] Daxtron2@startrek.website 3 points 8 months ago

Maybe 2 kilos of it suddenly materialized where his heart should be.

Hello fellow Cyanide and Happiness fans!

About this community and how I post the comics… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. Of course these days you can read your favorite comics online instead of a newspaper, but I love the nostalgia of reading the daily comics. Anyway, one of my favorite current comics is Cyanide and Happiness and I will be posting the daily release from their website (https://explosm.net) and a an extra or two randoms.

Cyanide & Happiness (C&H) is a webcomic created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick and Matt Melvin. The comic has been running since 2005 and is published on the website explosm.net along with animated shorts in the same style. Matt Melvin left C&H in 2014, and several other people have contributed to the comic and to the animated shorts… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanide_%26_Happiness

Hope you enjoy and feel free to contribute to the community with art, media, cool stuff about the authors, tattoos, toys and anything else, as long it’s Cyanide and Happiness related!
