A federal appeals court ruled Monday that Alabama can enforce a ban outlawing the use of puberty blockers and hormones to treat transgender children, the second such appellate victory for gender-affirming care restrictions that have been adopted by a growing number of Republican-led states.

Sadly, there will always be shitty people in the South. They're poorly educated, believe in magic and are made to be proud of the fact they struggle.

How long will it be before all the rational people leave that shithole of a state and all that remains there will be three dudes named Cletus and their sister-wife?

This is their desired end goal, free senators for them.

Even if rational/good people leave, lgbt people will still be born there and will still suffer, except they will suffer more because all the good people abandoned the state and left them to the wolves.

Well then, I guess the people that haven’t been voting every election need to get out there and change things. Otherwise- this is what will happen.

“Alabama Court” feels like an oxymoron.

What is the medical consensus on the minimal age for deciding to transition? I get that transitioning pre puberty might be preferred, but I also believe that there are some insane parents that "wants a girl no matter what" and ask the doctor to start transitioning right after infancy... What are the legal limits, currently, in the US?

Decisions such as these should be taken by medical professionals, not judges or politicians. Unfortunately in the US both parties are entrenched in their "we are right and they are wrong" mentally with little regard to what the actual data say.

Norway, Finland, Sweden and the UK all limit or restrict hormones and puberty blockers for children, and a growing number of European countries are considering doing the same until a thorough review of clinical data and outcomes can be made. But any mention of putting guardrails on these treatments here iin the US is branded as "transphobia", even when those recommendations are made by experts in their respective fields.

Shhhh, this is the internet and only tribalistic partisan analyses are allowed. Why don't you shut up and move to a brutally fascist country like checks notepad Norway, Finland, or Sweden, you bigot?
