  • Although the full report on the Batang Kali landslide tragedy is ready, it has yet to be made public as it needs input from the Selangor state government, says Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi
  • “We’re still waiting for the state government. It just formed a new government, let’s wait."
  • “After that, we will bring this matter to the Cabinet. It will be done as soon as possible,” he told reporters
  • The preliminary report of the deadly incident that took place last December was presented to the Cabinet in January by the Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
  • The landslide at the Father’s Organic Farm in Jalan Genting, Batang Kali claimed the lives of 18 adults and 13 children, while 61 others survived.

Hmm, i think lah, considering Kurzgesagt need 1200 working hours(around 5 months) to make one of their video from researching to planning to animating, investigating a disaster like this, especially since there's no record like a blackbox to determine the cause, it mean they need to take a lot of educated guesses. Then they have to went through review and study and review and study, then there's also a red tape so nothing leaks out.

A wrong accusation or an accusation that doesn't have really solid proof from official source can cause a lot of damage, so yeah i think that's why it take so long.
