I'm pretty hyped for this one. Even if it isn't the greatest piece of Star Wars to be filmed, it draws the franchise in a new direction and gives us an entirely new world. 100 years before Phantom Menace means that there won't be many cameos from known characters, though I'm sure we'll get Yoda and probably Darth Plagueis. I have high hopes that this can breathe some fresh air into a stagnating and crowded universe.

Yes! One way or another, via combinations of projects that the fans will argue over endlessly, they have retreated into a creative shell that is just about used up, even at the Filoni-an fringe, all while having an expansive universe that will allow for fresh storytelling that still has the franchise brand recognition that is apparently the only way any audience will ever see anything, at least according to the suits.

I think Yoda has an older sister in a few of the books. Might get her instead of Yoda.

I get confused emotions from this trailer and I believe it's mainly because of the universe swap by Trinity.

Seeing Jason Mendoza from Jacksonville Florida did that for me. He probably ended up on Coruscant after doing whippits and didn't want to come clean because he thought he'd get in trouble.

There is nothing I did not like here. This looks dope AF.

Why not. It's a bit funny that they are pushing for the high republic stuff now as as solution to the Sequel problem.

Should have contained JJ in a dedicated Time-line like they did with Star Trek.

Where would you prefer it to be?

Wherever I want it to be. In my case it's plex.

Like I wanted to watch menes on RIF, but reddit wanted to force me to watch it on their app. So I went to Lemmy.

Like i listen to all my music on spotify. I don't need a different app for every record company.

Like I go to the library to borrow a book and return it after I'm finished. That goes for any and all books, if they don't have the book I want, they can order it. Publishers won't suddenly pull their books from the library, because their contracts expired and they made a new deal with a different library so now I have to subscribe to two libraries.

I can understand where you are coming from. I despise multiple streaming services, too. However, Plex is a free, ad supported second run streaming site. They aren't pushing new movies to it, at least not well received ones or blockbusters. Asking for a tent-pole property like Star Wars to stream first on Plex is like walking into Wendy's and demanding a Wagyu burger. You get what you pay for, and if you want Star Wars, you gotta throw some dollar bills at the mouse. Since you seem to be OK with ads, though, I'd say wait a month until all it's episodes are up, and toss $8 for the month and watch it then, as well as whatever else you've been missing. That's a pretty reasonable price to pay for a whole season of a show, plus anything else you can cram into the month.

Looks very prequel-esque. Will be interesting to see how it does. Most of the live action series set around the timeline of the original three prequel movies have not performed as well.
