if they're based in a UK territory it's only a matter of time before their censorship and surveillance laws either take them down or turn it into spyware.
just host a 5 $ cheap droplet and run your own openvpn service
Mullvad costs €5/month...
And your traffic is mingled with others, there are tons of locations, it's not associated with your identity, etc. Also, it supports WireGuard, which has much better performance on Linux (especially relevant when running on a router).
