There's a similar one in Duolingo Chinese which is like "我喝两瓶白酒,现在要睡觉" or "I drank two bottles of Baijiu (Chinese liquor) and now I need to sleep"
They're just teaching the most important words first.
Honestly, it is genuinely useful vocabulary to know how to talk about partying in a language, since if you travel to a country you're likely on vacation, which means you're likely to do some drinking.
There needs to be a Lemmy community for crazy Duolingo prompts; I believe there was one on Reddit. The favorite one that I got, translated from French, “I’m sorry that my dog ate your cat”
I had one that said the pigs are eating the noodles in German.
Yea I think it was r/shitduolingosays or something like that
Yeah, that’s funny, but right 😄 When you come to Germany you need this sentence 😋
Today there were an article in my feed to these sentences. Article: How nonsense sentences can make learning easier (German)
