Just a feature request that is potentially already on the longer list. Some ability to group communities would be great. I follow a lot of communities called "technology" for example across a wide number of instances (this seems to just be the nature of Lemmy). It would be awesome to be able to have them grouped and then just be able to check the top level and see all posts across them. Thanks for the great work this app has made Lemmy a goto news source for me!

I think that what you are looking for already existed in IFR and it was called Multireddit, it seems to me that the Eternity dev mentioned in a comment that he wanted to implement multireddit as multicommunities in the future

Yeah, I want to implement this as a feature. As far as I know, the Lemmy API, does not have this feature (yet), but it's not impossible to overcome this.

Yeah something equivalent to multireddit but for Lemmy would be roughly equivalent to what I am thinking.

Summit does it IIRC, so it should be possible
