Oh, it's already happened. Luckily, while the average Australian requires the JDPON good and hard on any number of issues, most have a knee-jerk reaction against anyone who seems to be Having A Very Normal Time. And this includes Transphobes.
Yeah for all the terrible opinions they have, Australian people seem to be very adept at subconsciously enforcing the social rule of "don't be a weirdo, mate"
