that's where they stored all the really long cured meats.

today, the construction and consumption of large, novelty size baloney sandwiches has moved to the mid-western US during the annual Ford Summer Sales event in Topeka, Kansas.

Last year, native son Biffinauld "Big Biff" Sinkovic defeated previous record holder [5 stray dogs] by consuming 14.1' of baloney sandwich in 5 minutes before abruptly dying.

he is survived by his son, Mayor "Little Biff".

"Paisan! I will make-ah and even bigger tower to show you up Luigi!"

"Oh yeah! Well I will make an even EVEN bigger toweroni!"

The construction of the towers was quite onerous, the usage of serfs notwithstanding.

I imagine if you don't have a/c that top room has to be the best place to relax on a hot day

[-] RNAi@hexbear.net 8 points 7 months ago

Nah, it's probably the cellars

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 5 points 7 months ago

no view in a cellar though

[-] RNAi@hexbear.net 15 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

except for my large collection of lewd tapestries lighted by candles which are slowly carbon-monoxide-poisoning me making my cellar the ultimate erotic self-asphixiation goon&wine cave

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 6 points 7 months ago

[-] ProfessorOwl_PhD@hexbear.net 2 points 7 months ago

The temperature goes down the further away you get from the surface

[-] Xavienth@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 7 months ago

I don't think that effect is significant for the height of an old tower. Bigger factor is wind.

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 3 points 7 months ago

Both are factors, speaking as someone who has been on a roof in a hot place before

[-] booty@hexbear.net 2 points 7 months ago

See in the bottom left corner the two smallest towers? You know the guy in the second smallest one is going "hah! what a loser, look at that pathetic lil tower"
