Not comparable to DF really, Against the Storm is a closer comparison, but you can set parameters to peaceful and play slower if you want.

To me it feels like Farthest Frontier/Fabledom settlement building with Age of Empires-esque resource management and RTS mechanics

It's a fun game with a lot of potential, but it's very much early access. Be ready to encounter missing basic features.

Disclaimer I've only played a couple hours. But, unless I've missed it, it sorely needs quick keybinds to info-management panels. I'm getting sick quick of tracking down where I put my settlers to work building by building

Press Tab, it shows an overlay for all your buildings where you can see how many people are assigned.

As someone who has purchased and played. Idk what all the hype is about. For a city builder there’s a distinct lack of management options. And its pretty shallow. Just get a bunch of ox to build shit quick
