They thought they would fight ill trained and equipped orcs rushing at them in waves to be gunned down.

NCD is definitely one of those subreddits that push people in the west towards wanting to volunteer for Ukraine to defend NATO while radicalizing them to adopt a mish-mash pro-NATO reddt-ideology.
