I still remember when my cousin first showed me this game, it was still in alpha and I think I costed like 2USD. He told me how cool it was and innovative but all I saw was the terrible graphics. Then I uttered the worst take of my life: "yeah, I don't think this will go anywhere. I doubt people will want to play this much". I have never been so wrong in my entire life.
I have more time in Minecraft that I do all of my other games combined probably doubled.
I have spent an absurd amount of time playing Minecraft. Lol
Hands down my favorite game everhands down my favorite game ever
Same
I lost access to my original copy because I completely missed the Microsoft shenanigans of account transfering due to not playing for 10+ years.
Kind of feel cheated as I recently got the itch to play again and was unable.
Any recommendation of the best way to play Minecraft now? I'm not particularly keen on rebuying it :/
If you don't want to rebuy it you could use a cracked version just don't use tlauncher Use smth like multimc or sklauncher

Sail the high seas, matey.
For which version though?
Whichever version you want. If you were originally asking which is the best version to play, then unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question.

You're lucky you didn't place a bet
Welcome. Some of us are old enough to remember when the only relevant spec in video games were bits.
16 bit 4 lyfe
I also remember when I got a VGA monitor and could play everything on my PC
SNES, Sega CD, or Turbografix-16? Or were you one of those spoiled Neo Geo brats? Lol
I still have my OG SNES, and my son and I play Super Mario World together. One of the best games of all time. I've had trouble with a bunch of other cartridges though, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country, and Clayfighter all yield a blank screen at some point in the game. I have probably 20 functioning NES games, but almost none of my SNES games have lasted
In addition to what the other reply linked about cleaning the cartridges, it could be your SNES has some bad capacitors. Not all games use all parts of the motherboard, and from what I understand SNES consoles were somewhat plagued with bad caps like many electronics from the era. If you can solder it should be quite easy to just replace em all in one go; there are even kits you can buy that include all the correct ones.
Haven’t thought about Clayfighter in years. I used to be pretty badass with The Blob.
You may be able to service them if you’re handy.

ClayFighter, Clay, ClayFighter
Come on, fight them if you dare! (Ooh!)
ClayFighter, Clay, ClayFighter
Hit 'em, smack 'em, they don't care!
Whoa-whoa
Whoooa-whoooa, whoa-ho!
SEEEGAAAAA
Don't forget Blast Processing™!
Genesis does what Nintendon't
I still prefer the name "Mega Drive" because it sounds more powerful.
Mega Drive does what Nintendon't.
Nintendo is what Genesisn't
Not if you're in Europe because 50Hz.
Honestly I thought it was longer. The time when I first played it seems like a lifetime ago.
I honestly thought it was older than that.
I was sure the game came out before my 20s but I looked it up and you're right.
Damn.
I still remember playing the creative-only browser version for hours on end...
Edit: I miss the original sponges. Just place, and all water around it is permanently kept at bay. No drying needed. They made for some interesting water features.
I know the exact day I was made aware of Minecraft, Sept. 17th, 2010, because it was from this Penny Arcade comic:
I never got into it, though. I prefer games with more structure.
More structure? May I introduce you to modded mc? /j
I remember the exact date I found out about it too. July 18th, 2009, JayIsGames had a review of it. I like to go back and read that every few years. G summoned mobs! You pressed B and got a whole page of blocks to pick from! Sponges sucked up water! Of course they do that now, but there was a good few years where they didn't. Ah the memories
Oh god, and I was not exactly young when I played it for the first time
Halo is almost a quarter century.
Wolfenstein is 30ish
Now, imagine how us Gen-Xers who grew up with Karateka or Epic Games feel.
I thought "came out" was when the game left the Beta stage (that was in 2011 during Minecon btw). In that logic, it's only really 12 years ago.
But since Minecraft officially considers itself to be 15, I'd say I stand corrected.
Feels like much longer.
that's what i was thinking... i guess games like Fortnite and Roblox coming along made Minecraft feel older than it is. (never got into any of them so they're pretty much the same category for me)
Honestly yeah. I bought it for like 3 bucks right after the indev version was released on pirate sites. That feels like ages ago
Me realizing terraria came out 72 years ago
Want to feel old? Duke Nukem 3D came out closer to the collapse of the Ptolemaic Dynasty than to the present day.
It's been 66 years since Tennis For Two.
My realizing I'm getting closer to 30.
😂😂
Unreal Tournament 1998/1999 GOTY was a better game and came out a decade earlier.
