I've been looking forward to Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction's anime adaptation, especially since I'm allergic to reading manga. Subs aren't great but ah well, we work with what we've got, hopefully fansubbers pick it up.

Just watched E1. Damn, can't believe the Manga is from 2014, this encapsulates the melancholy of 2024 in a way I don't remember seeing from media back then - including looming threats of the Apocalypse in ways that hit way closer now than they did then.
I've kinda kept clear of Oyasumi Punpun because I, uh, think that the subject matter might be a bit too intense for me, but I've always heard good things about Inio Asano's work, and I've been really curious about DeDeDeDe for being his most political, with all the really pointed commentary on Japan/US relations that's kinda baked into the text as an alien invasion story
The girls fantasizing about Collapse is straight out of Hexbear's general megathread lmao
