Meta has already learned what they needed to learn from Cambridge Analytica in 2016.
I’ve mentioned this before, but I highly recommend watching The Great Hack on Netflix on the topic. It’s an easy to understand documentary on influencing the 2016 US Presidential Election and Brexit vote, based on first hand accounts from those who made it happen.

The Social Dilemma is another great watch. It clearly illustrates how all social media algorithms are designed around engagement, and the impact that has on a user’s perception of the world. It’s absolutely no surprise we have such a polarized society after widespread adoption of daily consumption of social media.

I come from the future, in court he will prove his claims but Googles lawyers will successfully show that it's lawful (and profitable) enough to dodge punishment. Sorry for the spoiler.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
