On Liftoff, you can. Just click the instance anywhere or add it to make its own feed.
Can confirm this works via Liftoff.
I've seen this requested a couple of times and it would be pretty cool, dunno if maybe one of the app developers is looking into it. I know some Mastodon apps let you do the equivalent there. But for now I think the only way is to actually visit their instance and check their local feed.
I would love this. It would make it much easier to suss out the general culture of an instance.
