Militarized "aid" port no longer even serves its empty PR purpose

[-] Chuymatt@beehaw.org 0 points 5 months ago

It is a crap website trying to be misleading.

They planned on putting to sea for a time. Weather related.

Yes and it's still a non-functional PR pier.

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 25 points 5 months ago

Well yeah, now that it's fulfilled it's only actual purpose by facilitating a massacre

Satellite images show that the US military pier on Gaza's coast has been removed. An anonymous US official said the military was moving it due to anticipated sea conditions.

[-] Silverseren@fedia.io 22 points 5 months ago

They're claiming it's because of weather again, but it feels more likely that they're trying to remove evidence and discussion of the pier being used by the IDF as a staging point for the recent massacre of Palestinians.

The only substantive aid it delivered, was aid Israel in the massacre of Palestinians. Team America at it again.

Pier can't handle shit

That's why everyone said aid through the road would be better and more reliable from the beginning. But then the US would actually have to make Israel do something substantive.

It's like they're trying to destroy everyone's trust in them. Can't even toe the whole "Villain with good publicity" line effectively.

In the future when citing Reuters, please use one of Reuters' official outlet links (reuters.com, YouTube/Twitter from the Reuters account).

Reuters is paywalled in some regions now

Really? Damn. Either way, archive link in the comments would be preferred.
