Fursuits are crazy expensive just because they are so niche and often times custom made
also according to a video I watched about it that breaksdown the expenses. Fake fur is expensive as hell
I bought some for my daughter to learn and you’re right, it’s not cheap.
It didn’t go the way she wanted it to go so she threw it away. I really wish I had been able to keep it so she can see her progress one day.
The really nice ones have fans built into the heads and are made to try to vent some of the heat.
If you make it yourself you only have to pay for the cost of materials, which go all the way down to $500 if you don't care about quality at all. But it takes time to make one, and it takes skill to make one that isn't embarrassing to look at
One thing I find funny about the original meme is that the hands are just dirty and manly, like you can't see any calluses or cuts or whatever, so it's like a hand shibboleth.
I used to relate with that meme, until i actually put some effort to find a glove that fit just right. Now i can't accept my hand being that dirty.
Her right paw(the left on this picture) looks like it's lacking if oxygen for several hours. Maybe loose the grip a bit for circulation...
