Born too late to die in a World War for our capitalist overlords, born too early to die in a World War for our capitalist overlords, born just in time to die in a World War for our capitalist overlords.

The NATO summit IS the threat of war

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_summit

NATO summits are not regular meetings like the more frequent NATO ministerial meetings, but rather are important junctures in the alliance's decision-making process on the highest level.

Apparently we’re having a rash of them lately: six in the last three years

Big question is will they send Biden in. If they do and he shits the bed that's gonna be a disaster, but if they don't then it's an admission that he's not able to do his job.

he shits the bed

At this point I can't tell if you mean that literally or figuratively

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 3 months ago

It was bound to get this bad at some point. My prediction: another major war (probably against China) before the beginning of the next decade.

Who will be the next proxy is the real question.

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 3 months ago

Philippines or Taiwan seem to be the most likely candidates right now

Poor them. Other than the comprador elite who want to sell products to the empire produced through cheap labor who gets an advantage? A very crucial step is gonna be breaking the admiration the global south has with the fraudulent liberal values, westerners pump into people's heads.

I live in Taiwan. No chance. Next major conflict is the end of Israel as we know it. The main issue is whether they will use nukes or not.

From a gov standpoint it looks like Poland leadership want to send their people to die. France too but it's the end for Macron.

Yeah, I think Israel is teetering on the brink at this point. My impression that there will be a revolt across Europe if they really try to start fighting Russia directly.
