There is nothing that screams "Old Man" more than expressing your views in a sternly worded letter to your Congressman.
I was asked recently why I didn’t want to participate in polls - didn’t i want my representatives to know my opinions about the issues?
Sure, but I don’t go to polls for that. Contacting your representatives is the appropriate way to do that. And always has been. 🧑🚀🔫

Dunno’bout you, but my reps generally don’t answer phones, auto-reply to emails and otherwise ignore me unless it comes with a campaign donation or purchase of shitty books or at least lunch.
If your reps are unhinged cretins, you may have a side quest to complete before you contact them with your concerns.
For most, normal, human, representatives - They have staffers answer the phones and tally the calls they get pro-and-anti whatever-the-thing-is and enough calls can get them to act. Again, this presumes your representative isn’t a Qanon-huffing, freedumb cockus member who’s out firing guns at fleeing strippers.
Emails aren’t very effective, some still have faxes, but phone is the heaviest hammer available. Failing any response at all the local office for your rep/sen is the place to show up and politely inquire as to whiskey tango actual foxtrot.
It’s not the bureaucracy from the movie Brazil , they’re often regular people dealing with batshit nazis, wild-eyed tankies and everything in between as best they can. If you haven’t seen it in person, it’s pretty interesting.

I have and I do. For the record, they’re corporate democrats and they more or less ignore that tally.
The official justification from the horse’s mouth, the last time, was that “the broad public can’t possibly understand that [insert corpo propaganda here]”
I believe specifically it was about privacy, and the bullshit was privacy laws would break the internet. (They didn’t mention how much she received from Google.)
Another (state) rep who was also a democrat, once told me to my face that water rights were too complicated for normal people. Not really. It’s not hard to say the climate is changing and we should protect and restrict access to our water use; instead of letting companies ship it elsewhere.
The only people opposed were the companies shipping it elsewhere.
What about yelling at a cloud?
Remember when the press saw Obama talking to Joe for VP and he was like “no, no, it’s not me fellas. Seriously i don’t know who it is”and like a day later he was announced
Believe me, I know better than anyone the responsibility and the burden the nominee of our party carries," wrote Biden, whose win four years ago provoked some actions for which Trump now faces state and federal charges. "I carried it in 2020 when the fate of our nation was at stake."
"We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively," he continued. "I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin."
I honestly don't know if he's gaslighting people or so far gone he believes this shit...
I can't speak for other states, but Biden was picked as the winner before my state even got a chance to vote.

The thing about effective gaslighting, is that it to do it right, you have to gaslight yourself first. I mean look at almost all of mainstream media has gone about the coverage on this for the past year. There has been a significant but minority cohort asking for this issue to be addressed whose views have been entirely suppressed/ ignored by mainstream news. But here we are. The entire public has been gaslit on Biden for over a year, but to do so effectively, mainstream media had to gaslight themselves first.
There's a reason it's a letter and not a speech.
A staffer wrote it.
Yeah we'll see how this plays over the next 24-48 hours. There is a legit power struggle going on, right now, for the future of the DNC.
For Biden to pull out of this tail spin he's set up, he needs to do a shit ton of interviews, events, live audience interviews, maybe town halls to show the voters he's not the person they saw in the debate or in last Fridays interview. Letters aren't convincing because they can't address the core issue, and right now, Biden is facing a wall of criticism from core DNC insiders.
If Biden can get on TV, stage, etc and do the job of convincing people he's walking the walk, thats it. He's done what he needs to do to stay the nominee. If he can't do that, there is no amount of digging his heals in that changes things.
If Biden refuses to step down, there isn't a lot for the DNC to do. Biden has the nomination locked up with pledged delegates. And I seriously doubt we are going to see a mass defection at the convention. So, short of him waking up dead one of these mornings (always a possibility for an 81 year old man), we're riding the Biden ship all the way down.
Who knows, maybe Trump will do us all a favor and have a massive coronary in the next few months. Goodness knows his eating habits aren't the best. But, my money is on the Biden-Trump rematch no one wanted.

We're seeing a mass defection right now. Its not going to take until the convention. Its Schiff and Pelosi asking Biden to step down right now.
They aren't convention delegates, what they want is irrelevant to the process.
Ahem..
2017 called, it wants its SCOTUS ruling back:
https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/ca11/17-14194/17-14194-2019-10-28.html
DNC has no obligation to listen the will of their voters, or even the delegates. They can just "decide" who the nominee is.
If the true managers of the DNC decide Biden isn't the nominee, then Biden isn't the nominee.
Schiff and Pelosi aren't in charge of the DNC. That's Jaimie Harrison:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaime_Harrison
So what does he have to say? Well...
Bet then. Put down some money and make a prediction
While folks like Schiff have some pull in the DNC, it's the delegates at the convention which choose the nominee. Party leaders have spent years ensuring that pledged delegates stay pledged delegates on the first round of voting. And it's Biden's team who chose those delegates. So, as long as Biden says he's staying, he's got this locked up.
Not according to the DNC or the 2017 SCOTUS ruling on this exact issue.

Alternatively, he can do none of those things, and he will still get the nomination. What do you think he will pick?

I think we see Biden withdraw before the end of the week, maybe two weeks. He's a stubborn asshole, but its gone. He can't win. Its not just that we'll lose the White house, we'll lose the house and the senate. And no, if (as is happening in real time since Friday) other Democrat lawmakers have rejected Biden, there is a 0 percent chance he stays as the nominee. Biden is not in control of his own fate in this regard.
It's interesting that people are somehow convinced he actually cares about winning. I am not comfortable making that assumption. He can absolutely dig his heels in, tank the entire situation, and force them to hold a contested convention if he wants. That is the old "if I can't have you, then nobody can" strategy that straddles every immature or abusive relationship.
Not this voter. My decision making aside - Biden's my vote and I never wavered.
