US military bases have been established on the islands right across from Taiwan where US claims to be defending the right to self determination, despite the fervent opposition of the inhabitants. This needs to be pointed out any time somebody starts bleating about Taiwan.
The actual history of Taiwan and how the current situation came to be is radicalizing enough, it was ruled by a brutal dictator propped up by the US so they can terrorize communists, spread propaganda, and provide a foothold for the US in the region.
Anything libs pretend to care about regarding China has been done in reality in Taiwan and much worse. If they actually gave a single fuck about the Chinese people instead of searching for ways to paint them as an irrational enemy and be racist as hell towards them, they would direct all that anger to reuniting China.
