If you aren't modding bethesda games, you're doing it wrong.
I dunno, I enjoy vanilla Morrowind, Oblivion, F3 and NV just fine. Granted they can all be improved considerably, but at its core each is at least decent.

I feel like the general consensus on Skyrim is that it’s kind of a waterdown game with a lot of faults, but it’s world design, vibes, and modding community is enough to make people keep coming back.
