Doesn't looks like you got banned from hexbear, just a few 30 day ones from lemmygrad. You had some posts removed for making baseless assertions, for example:

People responding correctly pointing out how we really should be most concerned about our own governments actions and the amount of police violence to any leftwing protest

Like I've protested in plenty countries, only been shot with fucking beanbags and gassed when it was in the US.

[-] bi_tux@lemmy.world -2 points 2 months ago

ever got beaten up by 3 chinese police officers for wanting free hongkong?

People responding correctly pointing out how we really should be most concerned about our own governments actions and the amount of police violence to any leftwing protest

sure, but I want to inform people and since the people on lemmygrad and hexbear already know that america is bad, I wanted to introduce them to dystopian China

[-] OurToothbrush@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

free hongkong

You mean british colonial Hong Kong. Hong Kong is going to have more democratic institutions as they integrate with Chinese democracy.

[-] bi_tux@lemmy.world -1 points 2 months ago

please enlighten me, how is China a democracy?

US State Department 🤝 You

[-] Diva@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

That's not exactly a novel thing though, you can find that opinion on pretty much any lemmy instance besides those two. Frankly I'm more concerned about my own government spending endless amounts of money on weapons to murder civilians than I am about hong kong, people I actually know have been injured by cops protesting in the US, from where I'm standing that's the primary violent police state to be dismantled.

[-] bi_tux@lemmy.world -4 points 2 months ago

yeah, but the argument was on these two

Frankly I'm more concerned about my own government spending endless amounts of money on weapons to murder civilians

I don't want that either, but I also don't want people giving money to China for cheap low quality products which finances konzentration camps and suppressing hongkong and I don't like people who say the west is imperialist but in the same breath simp for China and Russia, because all nation states are imperialist by concept.

people I actually know have been injured by cops protesting in the US

for me this is the same with China, I know some chinese people that still suffer under the CCP even tho they live in another country now

I have some bad news about America if you buy food here, it's all terrible quality and harvested with a ton of forced prison labor, America has more people imprisoned than any country on the planet. I live here so it's a bigger issue to me than what its state enemies are doing on the other side of the planet.

I know some chinese people that still suffer under the CCP even tho they live in another country now

Is China sending cops to other countries to beat them up or something?

Is China sending cops to other countries to beat them up or something?

Oh, you mean like this? (There are plenty of news stories about this happening, even in left-leaning publications.)

I don't get it why it's always deflect on China, Russia, and other authoritarian regimes, but attack attack attack for the US. Why is it so terrible to admit that authoritarianism is wrong, period, regardless of whether it's nominally capitalist or whether they claim to be communist?

[-] Diva@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 months ago

China has said the centers — run by local volunteers, not police officers — help Chinese citizens renew documents and offer other services.

K

State represssion is bad, however I live in the US, and if you live in any western country your government is far more beholden to the US war criminals than China. I prefer to focus my energy on the country supposed to be representing my interests instead doing horrible violence

[-] HelixDab2@lemm.ee 1 points 2 months ago

Of course, China is the believable one here, right? Because normally that would be done by a consulate. And the fact that you ignore all the reporting to zero in on China's statement is, well, kind of undermining what little credibility you might have here.

It's like people claiming that they're leftists, while only attacking Dems and their policies; it's not leftism, it's covert support for fascism.

[-] Diva@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

I don't find fearmongering about China to be worthwhile, and don't see why I can't take their position at face value if we're taking western positions at face value. I really don't see the issue with, or grand conspiracy behind, Chinese people living abroad volunteering to help other Chinese people living abroad

[-] HelixDab2@lemm.ee -1 points 2 months ago

...That's because you're starting with the assumption that they're helping, rather than acting as agents of the Chinese gov't. You believe the denials of the Chinese gov't, but won't accept similar denials of western gov'ts or comparable abuses or human rights or sovereignty.

[-] Diva@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago

I am not going to give special credibility to ned/western backed NGOs just because they're badmouthing China.

There are two possible contentions, one that there are dozens of secret Chinese police stations around the world being used to disappear and intimidate dissidents. The second is that it's a bunch of volunteers living abroad helping other people living abroad to access government services.

The second one is just more plausible to me, just looks like special pleading to claim otherwise.

There wasn't even a claim of any actual abductions in the thing you linked, just that a refugee political dissadent "felt unsafe", because they were there. Just paranoid sounding, really.

[-] HelixDab2@lemm.ee -1 points 2 months ago

The second one is just more plausible to me, just looks like special pleading to claim otherwise.

"Just more plausible to me" is another way of saying, "I'm biased", especially when you're intentionally ignoring reporting by people that have a degree of expertise in the issue, and are showing their work.

a refugee political dissadent “felt unsafe”

If a woman said that she had a stalker showing up everywhere she went, I would hope that you wouldn't say that they just sounded paranoid. It's not normal or acceptable behaviour for a person's former country--whether it's the US, Russia, or China, or any other country--to follow them around and threaten them (assuming that they aren't an immediate security risk).

When the US does shit like this, call them the fuck out! Fuck knows that the US has done some pretty egregiously awful shit, like the Tuskeegee syphilis experiments (!!!). But you're hypocritical if you aren't going to accept the same level of evidence regarding China, Russia, et al., and also call them out.

[-] Diva@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

If a woman said that she had a stalker showing up everywhere she went,

Yes, that's a big issue, but it's not what's happening.

She said she doesn't know where they are located because the harassment happened virtually.

Very different to say "I had people threaten me nonspecifically online" vs "the police followed me home"

I completely disavow all state repression. These people seem very intimidated and they should feel safe, but I could list a litany of awful shit the US has done with far more concrete evidence. (I really don't feel it's necessary and it would just get dismissed as whataboutism anyways.)

However I don't agree with extrapolating a testimony of online harassments into some narrative about how these aren't just random civically-minded volunteers but a vast world-spanning conspiracy to surreptitiously kidnap offenders. It's unfounded and the fact that the link you provided is citing elected conservatives demagoguing should really cue you into that.

Excuse me, are you a woman? If not, fuck off with these analogies

[-] marcie@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 months ago

Of course, China is the believable one here, right? Because normally that would be done by a consulate.

A lot of countries have like one guy doing volunteer/low pay work in some random spot in the country far from a consulate to help people with papers and so on. Its super common.

[-] CyberMonkey404@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

Why are you posting this from a different account?

[-] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Probably because hexbears can't see posts from .world so they can't come here and roast them again

[-] CyberMonkey404@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 months ago

Ah, they defed-ed, right? Makes sense

[-] LainTrain@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

Leftist banned from hexbear club less go!

[-] linkhidalgogato@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 months ago

free speech is bullshit, people should not be free to say and argue and agitate for whatever the fuck they want if someone goes around being a nazi they go straight to gulag someone goes around trying to undermine the peoples rule gulag, and yeah ur dumb ass goes around trying to argue that such people should be able to say what they want gulag.

also 1 its the CPC not the CCP u would know this if u knew literally anything about China which makes it clear u are just a westoid spreading western propaganda 2 the Hong Kong police is not run by the CPC in any way, while Hong Kong is part of China they are autonomous in many ways most laws and police institution included so again u know nothing and claim to be trying to educate people about the "dystopia" that is China 3 getting beat up by a pig with a button sucks but in most 3rd world countries u would get shot and in most 1st world countries u would get shot would "rubber" bullets (which are just as deadly the way they use them) and tear gas and in amerikkka they will probably also run u over with their trucks too, take ur pick
