Given the peculiar references made in the article like referring to bilbys as a rabbit-eared bandicoot chipmunk species, this is clearly a spam news site that pushes articles from legitimate sites through ChatGPT. I had the same question. According to Britannica, Australian bandicoots are marsupials, not rodents.
