So I had a laptop with Intel pentium silver n5030, intel uhd 605 graphics and 8gb ddr4 ram and it struggled to run Far Cry 2 from 2008 and mafia 2 at 720p low but here is are my new pc specs Intel core i5 3470, rx 470 4gb and 8gb ddr3 ram and I know it's not perfect but it's so much better than laptop I had, I played read dead redemtion 2 1080p high to medium settings at average 45 fps.

Woo hoo! Congratulations. Any improvement is great, don't let naysayers tell you anything. In the end it's about being able to play the games you want to (I spend the equivalent of €1500 on my PC and play minecraft 😂)

You can always make incremental upgrades... first limit you will probably encounter is RAM which you can change to either 8GBx2 (better) or 4GBx4 (Not as good but cheaper since you just add 2 modules).

When you have the financial ability to do a full upgrade in a few years, then you will get several generations ahead. !patientgamers@sh.itjust.works will be your friend. And if you need more games but have no €, make sure to get the Epic freebies when good games are released there.

Out of curiosity, how much did you spend for it? Because it's VERY old and I hope you spent like 100$ MAX (Even then, it's a lot)

180€ prices are very high in my country, I might upgrade it when I have more money

But that's a waste of money. I know, I know "My money, I do whatever I want" but to upgrade it, you basically have to throw away the whole pc (no mouse, monitor, keyboard, etc). To upgrade the GPU, you need a better Power supply, for a new CPU, you need a new Motherboard and probably RAM. I was curious and you can do what you want with your money, of course, I'm only saying you have to change the whole pc for the upgrade. Happy gaming tho!

It may be more productive to layout an example of how you could make a better build with the same budget. Your critique may be accurate, but it doesn't really help them build a better system next time.

And most importantly provide examples from their area (which currently we don't know other than in the euro area).

The budget is very low. You can maybe find some deals around the web for some parts but not a whole "gaming" pc for 200€

Here in America, people will pay $1000, sometimes more for basically the same thing except a little thinner. There's no incentive to make better laptops because "crappy specs except a little thinner" is what sells. It makes it hard to find actually good laptops without paying an absolute fortune.
