There's a lot to unpack there, so I'll start with: if we remove the "other people" in your statement and replace them with "I" statements, etc., the underlying issue is clearer — though no less relatable, mind you. We're all on the struggle bus, and it's ok to talk about your feelings. Sometimes, people go without talking about it and it comes out in places & times that aren't 100% appropriate, but they're no different than the rest of us. It's compassion that will see us through — and the lack of which will make us monsters, in the end.
This is "off my chest" is it not? I'm simply stating how I feel about pity-posting memes that seem to brag about ineptitude or unwillingness to engage. I should have known it would be picked apart.
I was genuinely trying to help, though? If not you (clearly, my bad), then some other reader of your whinge. Have fun out there, citizen, and fuckin' good luck.
k.
Ah man I’m laying in bed now trying to muster up the energy to take a shit.

RULES:
I am looking for mods!
1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.
2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)
3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.
4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.
5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.
6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.
