This really isn't surprise in considering the "infinite money glitch" was just check fraud
Lol yep, was expecting some clever scheme but it’s just straight up fraud.
“Earn infinite money with this one trick they don’t want you to know.”
Turns out the trick is bank robbery
But the absolute lamest, most limp dick version of bank robbery.
That’s exactly it.
It’s a big club and you ain’t in it; if you owe the bank 100 it’s your problem, if you owe them 100 million it’s their problem, etc etc.
It was a very stupid thing to do but I kind of feel sorry for these poor sods. They committed a victimless crime, and now they are going to be fucked for life due to the American credit score system. Other people get off much easier for doing a lot worse things.
I feel the gloating online over them is a bit distasteful. If you can't tell that there's no way they'll let some nobody get away with this you're probably not the most resourceful person to begin with.
Civil judgements are worse than bad credit if the they want them to be. They can garnish wages, take your tax returns, attach any property you have or get, etc. Even if you're broke and jobless they can haul you into court every year to file financial documents, just waiting until you have something to take. A lot of times they don't bother once they find out someone is broke they give up because of the legal costs, but in this case they're suing to make a point, not recover money.
Now watch Jamie double the overdraft fee. Again.
All I did was set my password to "show me the money" and it just kept increasing my balance!
