Incredible things happening in china as always, the better the means of production the less humans will have to work backbreaking and soulbreaking labour, given that the workers can take control of the mop fully, and i have no doubt the chinese proletariat will succeed in this goal some-controversy

China really is on track towards luxury space communism it seems. :)

No, see, idiots aren't using robots right.

Automation is for disciplining labor, not for increasing efficiency or output! This is why the west will always win; we're just smarter.

bad under capitalism, good under communism

Arent humanoid robots really inefficient compared to like the normal robot arm thing they already use for automobile production

They're not replacing traditional automation. It sounds like they're using humanoid robots for their flexibility. The advantage is that they can work in spaced designed for humans.

👎 I’m deeply anti this tech no matter where it comes from

[-] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 14 points 3 months ago

Why, precisely? I'm curious.

[-] stigsbandit34z@hexbear.net 1 points 3 months ago

I am just thoroughly anti-tech progression because there’s never any forethought for the potential consequences, whether that be increased atomization or displacing workers

It’s inherently reactionary and a net negative

But the other part of me realizes that China has to do whatever possible to compete with US hegemony. Ugh

this is literally pre marxist thought

Wouldn't the expectation be that generations of workers are getting better educated and over qualified for factory jobs? I don't think this is a problem for Chinese workers in the same way it would be for America if they still had factories

I like crops that are resistant to pests and drought though.

If it's any consolation, it's likely going to be fucking up at least 3+ times a week for the first year or so, and then still be a temperamental PoS afterwards. And even then I'd still rather work on the robot lines rather than the hand loaded lines.

At least that was my experience with robot machining lines in the factory I worked at for 5 years.
