Oh, did you just get the memo?

Every day it logs me out before standup and gets locked into a stupid "not loading" loop. I have to go to the login page, whereby it recognises my token and fucking logs me in. FUCK.

I used to have tons of problems with it but for the last 6 months or year it seems to be working fairly well for me.

As with all things in business, good enough is king

I actually don't mind it being web based, there are a lot of web based tools that run perfectly fine and don't use that much resource

Teams is generally stable for me running the pwa in Microsoft edge nowadays too

I’m so tired of web engine based apps

I mean, with winter coming in, and universities not bothering to heat the building, teams turning my potato work laptop into a furnace is the only thing keeping us warm this winter...

Serious question - is their long term strategy bad optimisation to sell hardware? Do they have shares in intel or something?!?

Am I the only one that like Teams?

[-] JargonWagon@lemmy.world 0 points 1 year ago

I'm sick of notifications not coming through on Teams. Fucking piece of shit program.

Am I the only one that prefers it to Slack?

[-] expr@programming.dev 0 points 1 year ago

Teams is better for scheduled meetings, but Slack is better for literally everything else.

[-] Javi_in_4k@lemm.ee 0 points 1 year ago

Slacks has awful organization of messages, IMO. I've also never been able to get consistent notifications between desktop and mobile on it.

[-] lud@lemm.ee 0 points 1 year ago

There is a setting in slack that is enabled by default so that notifications will only arrive on your computer if you are active on it.

Discord does the same thing. It's great, I wish teams and outlook did it too.

Based and tech pilled

[-] vvvvv@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

At least it's better than Slack and Discord. Still shit of course, but it could be worse.
