So, does this effectively mean that Nicaragua is going from being kinda but not really actually socialist, to being actually socialist?
If this reform proceeds, then yes we can start calling Nicaragua an AES now that they have the dictatorship of the proletariat installed. This reform will also strengthen their gov't to foreign attacks.
Hope it happens, and hopefully, there’s no meddling from the U.S. this time!
Oh, it already started -> https://ni.usembassy.gov/press-release-on-the-continuation-of-the-national-emergency-with-respect-to-the-situation-in-nicaragua/
The US already tagged Nicaragua recently as an "unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy".
Like, how pathetic is the US that a country one hundredth its size is a national security threat?
Careful Nicaragua. Anymore vaguely left sounding words outta your government and the US will go on another central/south america coup spree /s
(I'm not familiar enough with Nicaraguan politics to know if this is a leftward step but it sounds like it)
that's uhh..... that's something, huh. well, it remains to be seen what actually happens
