The guy went from being the Barichello to Hamilton's Schumacher to fighting for 16th. This is an obvious statement but the media training doesn't allow you to say it outright

Nobody except Bottas has ever thought that going to Sauber was a good idea.

Idk, they definitely got worse after the Kimi, Tonio years and I don't think it's Bottas' fault

It's been a rapid ass decline too, if memory serves they came out swinging in '22 and were pretty rapid during the first half of the season. Didn't Bottas finish like 5th in Bahrain?

Definitely struggled to keep up development pace and direction this rule set, sort of felt like they just got lost. Progressively gotten slower and slower.

Yes, they started off in 2022 good because they had a substantially lighter car than the other teams. As the season went on, and other teams got their weight under control (as well as general upgrades), their performance vanished.

Ah you're right, I remember now.

Brutal but honest. Unfortunately no one can see the future.

My memory fails me- Who else was in the mix when he lost the Mercedes drive? I remember him taking Kimi's place but that's about it. Sauber has been through so many name changes I can't remember who else was even rumored to be a potential landing spot for Valtteri back then.

Very refreshing to see a driver saying something like this!
