Obligatory fuck the CCP

It's really incredible that we've reached a point in society where all problems have been solved and we have the space, time, and energy to focus on things like this. Really proud of our older generations and their focus on priorities.

It's crazy to me that this is even a thing because the image of the map in the movie is completely unhinged and not reflective of reality at all. The lines literally just spin off into the ocean and don't even map out an area. It's just such a silly-ass thing to get worked up about.

The filmmakers should censored the map, in the most obnoxious way possible. Maybe by pixelating the map or putting a large black bar with censored written in Thai.

I get that they're in a big dispute with China and I agree with them that China does not own what they call the South China Sea. But this is a little on the petty side.

Those lines are the way they are because China made a deal that they could only show in China with them.

Oh yeah, I totally understand why they did it- the Chinese market is far bigger than the Filipino market. I'm just saying this doesn't seem like it's worth making a fuss about.

Eh, the more people that support/spread an intangible idea (like country borders), the more "true" it can become. Kinda like how trademarks have to be defended

I'm glad I don't live in a country with a "censorship board" or legally banned media

Yeah things must be hard in the US these days

Depends on the state. The Blue States are pretty much the same as they have always been. Sometimes a boomer shows up to a school board meeting to yell about a book but that is about it.

Are you sure you don't?
