That was my first thought, too. I saw one video where they actually pulled a woman up into the raft with them, and took her to the stage.
I've seen people crowdsurfing in inflatable canoes before. This kind of shit would absolutely happen at a metal show.
Dicht und Ergreifend (Guys rapping in Bavarian dialect) did crowd-surf in a porta-potty at the show I saw last year in Munich.

I nearly drowned crowd surfing, thank goodness for the dude who made space for me to get up. I miss going to metal concerts.
