I wish pirating subs was easier! That would be my second most if true

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 days ago

Yeah it’s hard to find them for Asian stuff particularly

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 16 points 5 days ago

Printer ink. I got a cheap canon printer and drilled holes in the ink cartridges so I can refill them using generic ink for 1/1000th the cost of what the printer companies charge.

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 5 days ago

Could you link how? That’s so cool

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 5 points 5 days ago

Sure thing, this outlines how to modify the ink carts: https://www.wikihow.com/Refill-Canon-Cartridges

And you can buy bulk printer ink for around $10 for all 3 colors+black on sites like amazon or ebay.

Might be controversial, but I pirate OnlyFans content (porn). I ain't payin a monthly subscription for that shit. Telegram is pretty great for that.

[-] furycd001@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Could you share a bit more about how you use telegram for that purpose? I'd like to learn more. Thanks. I've never used telegram before btw....

backups of books I have bought with ebooks..

Foliate on linux is a great ebook reader

(or KOreader on both androix linux - this setup allows you sync your page progress)

[-] GeekFTW@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Comics (though it probably falls into 'basic media'), well over 1TB at this point either way.

[-] Honse@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 days ago

Can you explain pirating of unraid licenses? I have already paid for one but didn't know this was possible

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 5 days ago

There’s a crack of it running around that tricks it into thinking you have a license. Of course idk if they also changed something nefarious.

I ran it for a while before I decided it wasn’t worth the risk and also run more Linux now

[-] Nyxicas@kbin.melroy.org 2 points 6 days ago

For a while whenever I took breaks from typical games and music, I'd go after software. Old software like Photoshop CS2 for example, just for nostalgia's sake.

Classified Docs to post on my Warthunder Account so I can win a debate.

Educational content. I'll get udemy or pluralsite content if I'm studying a topic. It has helped me earn certs and stay informed on different tech.

Its been as easy as searching stuff like YAML or AWS on tracker sites. There is a surprising amount of content. I even got some cool cooking content from Master Class

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 week ago

lol, got to argue about the new eurofighter some how

[-] Goun@lemmy.ml 42 points 1 week ago

Audiobooks! I buy the books but I'm too lazy to read them.

[-] Kissaki@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 5 days ago

If you buy the book but listen to it as an audiobook, wouldn't buying the audiobook in the first place be an option then?

[-] Goun@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 days ago

That'd be great, but I don't have where to buy them. Plus having them as physical books is easier to share them, since not everyone likes audiobooks.

Never had luck finding anywhere that has .stl's. Any hints on where to look?

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 1 week ago

That’s 3d printing files right? Where can you pirate them and what wouldn’t be on thingiverse?

There's a ton of commercial/locked-behind-patreon stuff, usually around things like RPG scenery or figures and such.

Like, an immense library of shit that's not free.

Depending on your political views you could download open-source files for guns in case they get taken down

[-] Andromxda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 6 days ago

That's not really piracy, is it? I'd say it's more like censorship circumvention.

[-] mnemonicmonkeys@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 days ago

True, but it still has lots of parallels

Apps that have what I think are unfair payment structures.

No, I'm not paying a > hundred dollar subscription for your app with server-side features I didn't ask for.

[-] Petter1@lemm.ee 1 points 5 days ago

Sounds like microsoft and adobe 🤭

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 week ago

Great point! I did this with Adobe until I switched to Linux

[-] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Boardgames.

I am still to actually print them. But I have the files.

RPG books. These I actually have them printed.

[-] ComradeMiao@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago

That’s really cool actually

[-] kinship@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 6 days ago
[-] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 days ago

Boardgames I found a discord room.ñ, it's about the "boardgame engine videogame" but they post assets of real boardgames.

RPGs, there's a Telegram group with a name like this mineral.
